Biography

Born in 1920 in the village of Malye Zhaberichy, now the Krupsky district of the Minsk region of the BSSR, into a peasant family.

Since January 1942 - in the army, he fought on the Bryansk, Voronezh, 2nd Ukrainian fronts. He served as a signalman, anti-tank gunner, scout. In May 1944 he became commander of the reconnaissance division of the 1st Guards Airborne Division .

Feat

On the night of November 5, 1944, he forced Tisu with a detachment, seized the bridgehead and repelled up to 15 enemy counterattacks, expanding the bridgehead, and destroyed a artillery battery with a group of fighters.

For courage shown by the Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 24, 1945, Lytin was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union .

After the war

In 1950, he was demobilized, worked as a physical instructor and military instructor in a school in the village of Nikolsk, Irkutsk District, Irkutsk Region.

He died on November 11, 1954 in Irkutsk. He was buried in Irkutsk at the Lisikhinsky cemetery [1] .
