Mozyr Engineering Plant

The construction of the plant in Mozyr began in 1950. The plant was created in accordance with the resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR No. 1522 of June 29, 1945 "On urgent measures to restore drainage systems and the development of the drained lands of the BSSR", where the construction of a repair and excavation plant was envisaged as one of the stages. The first products of the Mozyr Repair and Excavation Plant were released in 1953, production was conducted simultaneously with the continuation of construction. One of the problems of the plant was personnel training; this problem was solved with the help of courses of working professions. By the end of the year, the plant staff totaled 125 people. Part of the team was recruited due to serving correctional labor (ITR). In the spring of 1956, the construction of the mechanical assembly shop was completed, by this time mechanical-repair, model-carpentry and tool workshops had already been built. The construction of the plant was helped by specialists from other enterprises of Belarus, at the same time as the plant around it grew a working village where houses and objects of the housing and communal complex (shops, schools, sports grounds, etc.) were built. The main products of the enterprise were experimental machines for the needs of land reclamation, the plant also engaged in the repair of tractors , excavators and other reclamation machines ^[1] .

By Decree of the Council of Ministers of the BSSR No. 764 of November 28, 1958, the enterprise was renamed, having received the name Mozyr Plant for Land Reclamation Machines . The nomenclature of manufactured products was changed. The requirements for the level of production increased, as a result of which it was necessary to increase the professional training of the team, consisting mainly of young workers. In the 1960s, the level of novelty of the products increased (for example, for the first time in the USSR, a self-propelled scraper was produced at the Mozyr plant, trenchless drainage stackers having no analogues were created here), the company's products began to be widely exported around the world, including to Asian countries , Africa , Latin America . In 1966, the KFN-1200 canal digger was awarded a gold medal at the international exhibition “Modern Agricultural Machines and Equipment”. The company has repeatedly received government diplomas ^[1] .

In 1991, the plant became a rental enterprise. At the end of 2000, the company was renamed into Mozyr Machine-Building Plant OJSC. By order No. 642 of the Ministry of Industry of Belarus of October 8, 2004, the plant was included in the Minsk Tractor Plant production association . The main products of the enterprise remain agricultural machinery ^{[1] [2]} .

Over its history, the company has produced a wide range of reclamation and agricultural machinery. Known mounted milling channel diggers KFN-1200 and KFN-1200A (based on the T-100MBGS tractor , designed to open drainage channels in peat and mineral soils up to 1.2 meters deep, as well as even more powerful models of channel diggers, including D-583 weighing 40 tons (depth of the tear-off channel 2 meters), ETR-171, two-rotor excavator ETR-125A based on the T-130BG-3 tractor, etc. The plant produced uproaders D-695A, machines for deep milling of peat MTP-44A based on the tractor T-130BG-1 and a number of other machines for peat mining, for the needs of rural Forestry and forestry. The first Soviet self-propelled scraper D-357G was produced by the plant in the early 1960s. The trenchless MD-4 trenchless drainer (which can work in tandem with the MD-5 tractor), similar to it, the MD-12, MD- machines, are also known. 13 and others based on the T-130 tractor ^{[1] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]} .

Mozyr Machine-Building Plant continues to produce equipment for forestry and agriculture (chippers, loaders based on various tractors, hydraulic manipulators ), equipment for road and municipal services ( wheel loaders , plow-brush equipment, lifts), as well as consumer goods consumption ^[2] .
