Biography

Pavel Konkov was born on September 19, 1958 in the city of Ivanovo .

He graduated from high school number 32 with a gold medal and with honors from the Moscow Textile Institute . He studied at the Stockholm School of Economics . He worked in the Moscow region at the Klimovsk Machine-Building Plant, he studied in graduate school [1] .

In 1984, he returned to his hometown and went to work at the Ivanovo Textile Engineering Plant, where he went from being a master to a production manager.

Since 1996 - in business. He consistently held the posts of head of department, technical director, president of the company "Megapolis". He was the general director and chairman of the board of directors of the Kolobov weaving factory. He was executive director of the finishing factory "Red October".

In 2003 he was elected a deputy to the Legislative Assembly of the Ivanovo Region of the III convocation. On February 13, 2003 he was elected Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Ivanovo Region [1] .

In November 2004, he left the post of chairman because of disagreements with other deputies, at the same time he was expelled from the United Russia party. Soon he headed the Ivanovo textile association [1] .

In 2008, he became chairman of the board of directors of Yakovlevsky Linen Mill, and remained chairman of the board of directors of the Ivanovo Textile Association.

Since 2008 - Chairman of the Regional Branch of the Russian Union of Entrepreneurs of Textile and Light Industry. He became chairman of the board of trustees of the Shuya orphanage.

Since October 2008 - First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Ivanovo Region , head of the regional economic development complex, in the same year he was reinstated in the party " United Russia ".

October 16, 2013 By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation he was appointed Acting Governor of the Ivanovo Region . Replaced in this position Mikhail Alexandrovich Me , who received a position in the Government of Russia [1] [2] .

Konkov won the election of the Governor of the Ivanovo region on September 14, 2014 , gaining 80.32% of the vote [3] [4] .

On September 19, 2014, he assumed the post of Governor of the Ivanovo Region [5] .

On October 10, 2017, he was relieved of his post by decree of the President of Russia ahead of schedule at his own will [6] .

September 9, 2018 elected a deputy of the Ivanovo Regional Duma in a single regional electoral district as part of the list of candidates nominated by the United Russia party. Member of the Committee on Housing Policy and Housing and Communal Services.

June 1, 2019 detained by law enforcement agencies in the case of fraud [7] .
