Geography
The municipality is located approximately 310 km southeast of Paris , 28 km north of Besancon , 22 km southwest of Vesoul [1] .
History
The municipality of Fretigne-e-Vellorey was formed in 1806 as a result of the merger of the communes of Fretigne and Vellorey.
Population
The population of the commune in 2010 was 683 people.

Economics
In 2010, among 431 people of working age (15-64 years old), 315 were economically active , 116 inactive (activity indicator 73.1%, in 1999 it was 67.2%).
