Geography
The commune is located approximately 290 km southeast of Paris , 39 km northwest of Besançon , 39 km west of Vesoul [1] .
Along the northwestern border of the commune flows the river Sona .
History
In 1807, the commune of Pierge was annexed to the commune of God, in 1808 - Saint-Valle, and in 1972 - Kitter.
