Meoneura vagans (lat.) Is a species of diptera insects of the genus Meoneura from the family Carnidae . North Eurasia and North America [1] [2] .

Description
Small flies, length about 1 mm, general color black, forehead dark brown or black, the color of the wings is whitish; ground beetles - whitish yellow. The shape of the eyes is round. Flies are found on the corpses and feces of animals, in bird nests. Meoneura amurensis ( Amur Region ) differs from the close Far Eastern species in the structure of male genitalia and the color of its wings (in M. amurensis they are brown). Head setae dark. Wing with a short dm cell. Females developed wings and 1-5 abdominal sternites [1] . Cell cup and vein A 1 + CuA 2 are absent [3] [4] . The species was first described in 1823 by the Swedish entomologist Carl Fredrik Fallén (1764–1830) under the original name Agromyza vagans Fallén, 1823 based on materials from Sweden [1] [5] [6] [7] .
