Mike Christian ( born Mike Christian ; born December 5, 1955 , Cleveland , Ohio , USA ) is a professional bodybuilder . The name is sometimes spelled Mike Christian. For his services during his speeches and active promotion of bodybuilding and a healthy lifestyle, Mike Christian's name was inscribed in the IFBB Hall of Fame in 2005.

Biography

Mike Christian was born on December 5, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. After the death of his mother, the family moved to California and settled in Los Angeles. Mike became the leader of teenage gangs in Los Angeles. To maintain leadership status, he trained hard. Concerned about the criminal activities of his son, Christian's father takes his family to Oregon. In one of the gyms of a young 20-year-old athlete, Charles Amato noticed and invited him to take part in competitions. In 1976, Mike Christian won his first victory in a bodybuilding contest in Portland. After three years of hard training in 1979, Mike took 3rd place at AAU Mr. Pacific Northwest and at AAU Junior Mr. America

In 1981, he returned to Los Angeles. In 1982, Nashionals took 5th place in the competition, and in 1983 won the California championship in bodybuilding. Winning the 1984 Amateur World Championship brings him professional status and receives an IFBB professional card. In the same 1984 won the “Nationals”. In 1985 he took part in the most prestigious competitions "Mr. Olympia 1985" and "Champions Night 1985" where he took 5 and 4 places, respectively. Competing with the best athletes of his time, Mike Christian won the World Championship Pro 1988, Grand Prix USA 1988, Grand Prix Spain 1989 and Grand Prix Germany 1989. The last tournament of his career was Arnold Classic 1990 where he took 2nd place. In the same 1990, the Iron Warrior Mike Christian ended his professional sports career at the age of 36. The reason for leaving the big sport on take-off career was drug addiction. After treatment, he went into business, wrote articles, and conducted seminars. Today, Mike Christian is the owner of a sportswear company for bodybuilders.
