History
The village was founded in 1859 as a Cossack village Venyukovsky [2] . Named in honor of Mikhail Ivanovich Venyukov - geographer, researcher of the Ussuri River. It was inhabited by Cossack migrants, residents of Transbaikalia. In 1870, the first elementary school in the village was opened. The second school was built in 1909 on the savings of M. I. Venyukov, which he bequeathed to the building. A church was built in the village.
Wheel steamers with barges transported goods and passengers to Khabarovsk. From 1883 to 1887, rails and structural details of the track were unloaded for the construction of the Ussuri railway .
In 1891, the Venyukov Cossacks met Ataman of all Cossack Troops, Tsarevich Nikolai Alexandrovich , the future Russian emperor. Traveling along Ussuri to Khabarovsk, the Tsarevich stopped in the village, visited a church and a school [2] .
