"Kronstadt" - a floating workshop of the imperial Black Sea and White Guard fleet, participated in the First World War and civil wars .

History

  • September 15, 1894 - launched in Hamburg at the Blohm & Voss shipyard as the fourth P-class cargo and passenger steamer designed with the goal of optimizing transportation.
  • January 15 - 29, 1895 - The first transatlantic flight Hamburg - Le Havre - New York . Went under the flag of the HAPAG passenger company under the name "Phoenicia" ( " Phenicia " ).
  • 1900 - as a transport, participated in the transfer of troops to China to suppress the Boxer Uprising .
  • October 29, 1904 - left on her last transatlantic flight .
  • Autumn 1904 - sold to Russia, underwent major repairs at the Blohm & Voss shipyard and renamed Kronstadt.
  • May 25, 1905 - enlisted in the Black Sea Fleet.
  • 1920, as part of the Russian squadron, left Sevastopol.
  • In 1921, a plague broke out in the port of Bizerte , the ship was transferred to the port of Toulon .
