Geographical position
The village is located 110 km north of the oblast center of Pavlodar and 30 km from the regional center of Uspenka on the Uspenka- Sharbakty highway [3] . The nearest railway station is Tuzkala (Tavolzhan) is 45 km [3] .
History
In 1937, archaeologists collected a collection of elongated petiolate arrowheads from light brown jasper near the village [3] .
According to old-timers, the village of Pavlovka was founded in 1909 by immigrants from Ukraine. Among the first families of immigrants - Novik, Borzenko, Kolomoets, Shumak, Voloboy - there were three Pavlov, perhaps the name of the village came from this. The first headman in the village in 1909-1913 was I. Shumak, after him in 1913-1915 - Gorbenko, then G. Litvin. The first school was opened in 1914, the teacher was I. Kin, before him children were taught at home by teacher Velichko. In 1914, a church was built in the village, which in Soviet times was converted into a club [4] .
In 1919, a committee of the poor was organized, the Revolutionary Committee, chaired by N. Linevsky [4] .
In 1923, a power station started operating in the village [4] .
In 1928 a school was built, the director of which was Shapko, teachers Syromolotin and Gruzdy. By this time there were 3 streets in the village [4] .
In December 1929 a collective farm named after Budenny was formed. After 1930, the first tractor appeared on the collective farm. In 1930, the village Council was formed, the first chairman of which was A. I. Samoilenko [4] .
During the years of World War II, families of deported Germans , Chechens and Ingush , and other peoples arrived in the village [4] . 94 people from Pavlovka died in the war [4] . A native of the village Maxim Milevsky was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union for the courage and heroism shown in the East Prussian operation [5] .
In 1958, the collective farm was renamed the “Dawn of Communism” collective farm, in 1960 the Pamyat Kalinin collective farm joined it (founded in 1950 on the basis of the Boyev collective farms of the village of Novopetrikovka and of the name of Kalinin of the village of Khersonka ). The economy reached its greatest development in collective farm production in the years when it was led by M. N. Veselovsky (1974-1982). At that time, streets were paved in the village, a children's factory, a new school were built, a park was set up, in which a monument was erected in honor of the 35th anniversary of the victory in World War II [4] .
Population
In 1985, the population was 1294 people [3] , in 1999 - 1036 people (514 men and 522 women) [6] . According to the 2009 census , 766 people lived in the village (375 men and 391 women) [6] .
