Biography
After an incomplete high school, he began to earn his living by his own labor, which was very difficult in the conditions of a Chinese village. After graduating from the agronomic school, he worked for 14 years at the agricultural and agricultural lab. school. He began to write in 1962; joining a creative organization, he got the opportunity to travel around China, to complete literary courses, to personally meet famous writers and scholars.
The first works of Gu Hua were not successful, but in the early 80s he released a collection of short stories and short stories, and then the novel "Lotus Village" (1986), which was a reader's success and was awarded the Mao Dong Prize .
Gu Hua's works are largely autobiographical and describe the life of the Hunan village, which is thoroughly known to the author.
