Geographical position

The village council is located 230 km from the regional center and 67 km from the regional center in the north of the region. It borders in the southwest with the lands of the Republic of Kalmykia and the municipal entity " Vetlyaninsky Village Council ", in the northwest with the territory of the Nikolsky Village Council , in the north-east with the Akhtuba District . The rivers Beaver and Volga flow from north to south, and the Astrakhan - Moscow highway runs through the village council. The total land area of ​​the municipality is 72822 ha [2] .

Farm

The main branch of the economy is agriculture . Personal subsidiary plots (340) and peasant farms (27) have been developed. There is a tendency to increase the number of cattle and sheep [2] .

Social Objects

On the territory of the village council there is a medical outpatient clinic, a secondary school with 195 places, a kindergarten "Kolobok" with 39 places; in s. Prishib operates a house of culture with an auditorium with 200 seats, a rural and school library. Clubs are organized and operate in the rural House of Culture [2] .
