Clove armeriide ( Latin: Diánthus arméria ) is a small herbaceous plant native to Eurasia, a species of the genus Clove ( Dianthus ) of the family Carnation ( Caryophyllaceae ).

Botanical Description
Carmere cloves - an annual or biennial herbaceous plant , usually not exceeding 10-50 cm in height, in most cases with a lightly branched pubescent stem.
The leaves are stalk-bearing, linearly reverse-lanceolate, 2-10.6 cm long, green, the lower surface of the plate is whitish-pubescent.
Flowers are collected three to six in umbrella inflorescences or single, with narrow small bracts and four linear bracts. Pedicels no more than 3 mm long. Calyx is five - sectioned, pubescent, up to 2 cm long. The corolla consists of five jagged reddish-pink petals, covered with a few white spots, or even white. Stamens in the amount of ten, with pinkish anthers. Pestle two.
Fruits are capsules about 13 mm long. Seeds about 1.2 mm in diameter, spherical-bean-shaped.
The number of chromosomes is 2n = 30.
Range
Homeland cloves armerievidnoy - Europe and South-West Asia . Introduced to North America , where it naturalized and spreads easily. Often grown as a decorative annual.
