Gorsky Vyacheslav Lazarevich (born April 11, 1953 in Moscow [1] ) is a Russian jazz pianist, electronic keyboard player, singer, composer [1] and producer, [2] Laureate of international jazz festivals. [2] [3]

Biography

Vyacheslav Gorsky is a repeated winner of the ratings of prestigious music publications, a musician with a bright individual style, in whose music such directions as jazz , rock , funk , classical and ethnic music are intertwined. According to the ratings of the Music Box magazine, as well as the Intermedia agency, Vyacheslav Gorsky was recognized as the best keyboard player in Russia in 1995-2002. His name is mentioned in the anthology of world jazz (New York, 1991). [2] [3] [4] He became known as a member of the Arsenal jazz-rock ensemble (1974-75 and 1977-82), performed at festivals in Moscow , Warsaw , Bratislava , Nagykanizhe , and West Berlin . In the years 1975-76. led the Spectrum group, and in 1982 created the Quadro ensemble. In subsequent years, he also performed in trios and duets - with Alexei Kozlov , Sergey Manukyan and others. [1] In parallel with the concert activity, Vyacheslav Gorsky composed three rock operas, which were staged in many theaters in Europe, as well as music for several television films and films . The symphonic rock suite “Legend of the Knight” written by Vyacheslav Gorsky in 2005 was performed with great success in Moscow and other Russian cities. Vyacheslav Gorsky is the author of more than three hundred songs in a variety of styles - from jazz to urban romance. Gorsky’s songs and instrumental compositions are included in the repertoire of such artists as: Zurab Sotkilava , Nikolai Karachentsov , Olga Kabo , Oksana Mysina , Daniil Kramer , Eteri Beriashvili, Sergey Manukyan, Arkady Shilkloper and many others. Vyacheslav Gorsky released 20 copyright albums and albums of the Quadro group. [2]
