Content
Preparatory Period
The idea for the album came from Steinman in 1977 during the production of the musical “Neverland” (the “rock version” of the play “ Peter Pan ” by James Barry ), written three years earlier by him [5] [6] ; Steinman and Loaf (who were on tour together) felt that three songs - “Bat Out of Hell”, “Heaven Can Wait” and “The Formation of the Pack” (later became “All Revved Up with No Place to Go”), - were quite “promising,” and Jim began to develop them into a full-fledged album [7] .
