Feather irregular , or Anger Feather ( Latin. Stīpa adōxa ) - perennial herb ; Species of the genus Kovyl ( Stipa ) of the family Cereals ( Poaceae ). Included in the Red Book of Ukraine .

Habitat and habitat

The narrowly endemic basin of the Middle Don and the Seversky Donets . Refers to a very small group of "paradoxical" wormfish, distributed mainly in the countries of the Eastern Mediterranean [2] .

It grows in poor grassland fescue, pebbly and petrophytic steppes , on the slopes of chalk outcrops.

Description

Perennial plant . Close-core. The height of the stem is from 18 to 22 cm, double-knee-bent, downward along the grooves, pubescent and spirally twisted, in the upper part covered with dense hairs up to 2 mm long, with narrow rough and folded leaves .

Sheet sheaths at the base of the straw-yellow shoots. Lemma, enclosing grains, bare, just at the base with a crown of hairs and with 2 narrow strips of hairs reaching to its edge. It is 18-22 cm long.

Reproduction only seed . Forms mature kernels only in years favorable for flowering .

Guard

Included in the Red Book of Ukraine, as well as in the Red Book of the Volgograd region of Russia and Donetsk region of Ukraine. [3]
