Dark Wings of Steel (c. “Dark Wings of Steel”) is the eleventh studio album of the Italian symphonic metal band Rhapsody of Fire . It was released on November 22, 2013 in Europe and December 3 in the United States [1] .

Dark Wings of Steel is the first album recorded without the participation of Luca Turilly , one of the founders and permanent members of the group, who separated into the group Luca Turilli's Rhapsody . Instead, Roberto De Micheli becomes the guitarist, and Alex Staropoli becomes the composer. The place of the bass player was taken by Oliver Holzwart , brother of Alex Holzwarth , drummer of the group. The lyrics are written by the vocalist of the group Fabio Lione [5] . Due to the departure of Tom Hess on October 11, 2013, this album also means a return to one regular guitarist.
