Russian Modern Pentathlon Cup 2003

Modern Pentathlon

The Cup of Russia in modern pentathlon among women in 2003 was held in Moscow (sports base "North") from March 12 to 15. Medals were awarded in the individual and team championships. The athletes who represented the regions and cities of Russia came to the start. Also pentathlon from Belarus took part in the competitions.

As a result of a stubborn struggle, the owner of the Russian Cup in 2003 was the 16-year-old Alexandra Sadovnikova , who won the European Junior Championship last year and took 3rd place at the International Youth Games of the CIS and Baltic countries. It is noteworthy that Sadovnikova has been engaged in modern pentathlon for only two years, and before that she preferred swimming at an 800-meter distance.
