Geographical position
The village of Etvainura is located one kilometer from the village of Novaya Sloboda and 7 km from the village of Vasilsursk, Nizhny Novgorod Region . On a difficult forest road through Shimvazh to the village of Yashtug - 9 km. The village is located on the territory of the forest reserve “Vasilsursky Oakwood”. To Kozmodemyansk from Etvaynur can be reached by car only through Vasilsursk.
History
The Etvainur village was founded in the 1920s by immigrants from a number of villages of the then-existing Yelasovsky district of the Kozmodemyansk canton. The name of the village is formed from the nickname of one of the first settlers “Eteap” and “dyr” - a field. [four]
During the years of collectivization in the village, the collective farm “The Path of Communism” was founded, which later became part of the “Russia” collective farm.
As of January 1, 2001, there were 60 courtyards in the village; the population at that time was 149 people.
The main occupation of the locals - livestock.
