Shramko, Irina Borisovna

Born on January 22, 1961 in the city of Kharkov. The daughter of a famous archaeologist and historian Boris Shramko ^[1] . In 1984 she graduated from the history department of Donetsk State University. From school, I began to take part in various archaeological expeditions in the territory of Kharkiv and Poltava regions. In 1984, she worked as a history teacher at school number 89 in Kharkov. From 1987 to 2008, she was the head of the archaeological circles of the Kharkov Regional Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity.

Since 1987, he has led an archaeological expedition to the Belsk site of ancient settlement , where he explores its western fortification. During the last ten years, it has been excavating various settlements of the Bronze Age, the Scythian period, the early and late Middle Ages, on the territory of Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region. Among them, the most famous settlement of the Scythian time in ur. Barchany (2002), Drobyanskoe (2005), ur. Sarzhin Yar, (2006), ul. Tsiolkovsky (Lyubotin) (2006), ul. Pushkinskaya (Youth Park, Kharkov) (2009), Pesochin-Mobile (2006, 2008), Novoselovka (2010, 2011), Kumi burial mound (2010). For the first time in the Kharkiv region a multi-layered settlement with sediments of the Golden Horde time in ur. Oleshki (2006,2007).

In 1995 she defended her thesis "The Blacksmithing of the tribes of the Vorskla and Psla Basin in the Scythian Era". Since 1995 - member of the Kharkov Regional Historical and Archeological Society (CIAO). Since 2005 - Member of the Board of the KhIAO, member of the editorial board of the Antiquities Yearbook. From 2004 to 2011 headed DP OASU "Slobozhanska Archeological Service." Since 2005 - Associate Professor of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies and Archeology, Faculty of History, VN Karazin Kharkiv National University. Reads special courses “Archeology of the Early Iron Age of Europe”, “Problems of Archaeological Chronology”, etc. Published about 80 scientific papers. For schools, she prepared the author's program of the optional program “Archeology of the Native Land”. From 2005 to 2011 - Member of the Field Committee of the IA NAS of Ukraine. Supervises the archaeological practice at Belsk site of ancient settlement . He specializes in studying the problems of archeology of the early Iron Age of Eastern Europe. Since 2012 - Director of the Museum of Archeology of VN Karazin Kharkiv National University .

• Has published over 80 scientific papers; for schools prepared the author's program "Archeology of the native land";
• prepared special courses "Problems of archaeological chronology" and "Archeology of the early Iron Age";
• clarified the whole metallurgical process and determined the tools that existed in the Scythian time;
• for the first time identified a new type of pottery kilns (based on materials from the excavations of the Lipovaya Grove settlement);
• first revealed the characteristics of the manufacture of Scythian scoops;
• for the first time allocated two-chamber dwellings that existed in the Scythian time;
• first explored the monument of the Golden Dord time in the Kharkiv region “Oleshki”, singled out material culture characteristic of this era.
• Perennial studies by I. B. Shramko in the Belsky site of ancient settlement allowed to make a chronological column for the Early Scythian period of the Northern Black Sea region, and to identify the stages of existence of such a grandiose complex as was the Belskoe ancient settlement.
