History
It was founded in 1796. In 1926, the village of Gryaznukha consisted of 191 farms, the main population - Russians. The center of the Gryaznovsky village council of the Cheremkhovsky district of the Irkutsk district of the Siberian region [2] .
In 1968, by a decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, the village of Gryaznukha was renamed Sayansk [3] .
