Content
Geographical position
The Udachinsky Village Council borders in the south with the Republic of Kazakhstan , in the southwest with the municipality Kharabalinsky District, and in the northwest with the municipality Enotaevsky District. The border starts from the point of intersection of the borders of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan, passes along the state border with Kazakhstan, goes along the border with the municipality “ Kharabalinsky district ” in the south-west for 9.5 km, then goes to the north-west for 0, 8 km, turns south-west and goes for 17.3 km until the nameless Erik , in its middle to the Akhtuba river, goes in its middle, then in the middle of Lake Lebyazhye for 11.1 km, to the intersection with the municipal border Education " Enotaevsky district ", Goes along the border with it to the northwest to the tract" Tatar Corner "for 3.5 km. Then the border moves in a northeast direction for 2.2 km, crossing the Akhtuba river, to the irrigated Matyutin section, then goes northeast for 2.2 km to the intersection with the Astrakhan - Volgograd highway. History
The village of Udachnoe was founded in 1848 in the Tsaritsyn volost of Bolkhunsky uyezd.
Currently, there are two settlements on the territory of the municipality: the village of Udachnoye and the village of Verblyuzhiy (railway station Verblyuzhya). The population as of 01.01.2011 is 962 people [4] .
