Ole Miss Rebels ( Mississippi Rebels ) is a basketball team representing the University of Mississippi in the NCAA's first men's basketball division. Located in Oxford ( Mississippi ). The team is currently performing at the Southeast Conference . The team participated in the National Invitational Tournament in 1980, 1982, 1983, 1987, 1989, 2000, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011 and 2012, and became the winner of the SEC Western Division in 1997, 1998, 2001, 2007 and 2010. From 1996 to 2006, the team was coached by Rod Barnes, under whose leadership the Rebels won 141 victories and 109 defeats.

From 2007 to 2019, Olle Miss coached Andy Kennedy and in the 2006/07 season, the team shared first place in the SEC West Division. Led by Clarence Sanders, Bam Doin and Todd Abernathy, Ole Miss finished the season with a score of 21–13, including 16–1 in home games. The Rebels reached the second round of the National Invitational Tournament, where they lost to Clemson University . In his debut season with Rebels, Kennedy was named SEC Trainer of the Year.
In the 2013/13 season, Olle Miss won the SEC champion title for the second time in history, and for the first time since 2002, they entered the NCAA tournament. In the same season, the team set its record for the most wins in a season.
