Biography
In her childhood she lived in Odessa and Chisinau . Mother was a lawyer. After graduating from school in Chisinau [1] entered the Kiev Polytechnic Institute , but left her studies there after the first year and entered the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography . She played at the Moscow Stanislavsky Theater , Kuibyshev Drama Theater , WTO Literary and Drama Theater in Moscow. She performed the roles of Medea in the play by Jean Anouille and the Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery . Starred in a movie.
From 1981 she lived in the USA. From 1984 to 2006 she was an employee of the Voice of America radio station in Washington . Author and presenter of the programs "In the world of cinema", "Country Music", "Broadway Masterpieces", "Jazz Club", "Travels in America."
She prepared the reading of Nadezhda Mandelstam ’s memoirs, which she sounded on the waves of Voice of America. Together with her husband Alexei Kovalev, she created the cycle “ Brodsky 's Christmas Poems”.
She died of lung cancer on October 28, 2017.
Husband - actor Alexey Leonidovich Kovalev (born 1944), son of director Leonid Agranovich , grandson of singer Olga Kovaleva , nephew of screenwriter Yevgeny Agranovich .
