Biography
Konstantin Lebedev was born on September 5, 1910 in the village of Konyshevo (now the Antropovsky District of the Kostroma Region ). He graduated from primary school. In 1927 he moved to Leningrad , where he worked as a plumber. In 1939 - 1940 he served in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army, participated in the battles of the Soviet-Finnish war . In June 1941, Lebedev was again drafted into the army and sent to the front of the Great Patriotic War [1] .
By January 1945, the Red Army soldier Konstantin Lebedev was a linear overseer of the 954th separate communications battalion of the 115th Infantry Corps of the 59th Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front . Distinguished during the liberation of Poland . On January 30, 1945, Lebedev was one of the first in the battalion who crossed the Oder near the village of Ferendorf , 12 kilometers north of the city of Raciborz , establishing a connection between the corps command and the bridgehead on the west bank of the river. During further combat operations at the bridgehead, Lebedev repeatedly eliminated damage on the communication line [1] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 27, 1945, Red Army soldier Konstantin Lebedev was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal number 3143 [1] .
After the war, Lebedev was demobilized. He lived in Leningrad, worked at the Leningrad Mining Institute. Died suddenly on November 5, 1949 [1] .
He was also awarded the Order of the Patriotic War , 2nd degree and the Red Star , along with a number of medals [1] .
