Biography

Fedor Alekseevich Lakhtikov was born on June 21, 1911 in the village of Yushta [1] of the Spassky district of the Ryazan province , now Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region , into a peasant family. Russian. He worked on a collective farm .

In July 1941, F.A. Lakhtikov was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army by the Shilovsky District Military Commissariat. A month-long training of the anti-tank rifleman (PTR) took place. In the battles of World War II from August 29, 1941, he fought near Moscow, Bryansk, on the Upper Don. He was surrounded and captured. In March 1943 he was liberated by the advancing units of the Red Army.

After verification, he was enlisted in the platoon of anti-tank rifles of the 835th Infantry Regiment of the 237th Infantry Division of the 40th Army of the Voronezh Front . As part of the regiment, he participated in the battles for the liberation of Left-Bank Ukraine. Particularly distinguished when crossing the Dnieper River [2] .

On the night of September 24, 1943, in the vicinity of the village of Grebeni, Kagarlyksky District, Kiev Region, Ukrainian SSR, the Red Army soldier F.A. Lakhtikov was one of the first to cross the Dnieper River and took the battle with superior enemy forces, inflicting heavy losses on him. On September 30, when the enemy brought tanks into battle, Fyodor Lakhtikov set fire to the 2 main tanks that were heading straight for his position with fire from his PTR, the rest of the tanks turned back. In this battle, being wounded, he did not leave the battlefield until the end of the reflection of the enemy’s counterattacks [2] .

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 23, 1943, for successfully crossing the Dnieper River south of Kiev, firmly securing the bridgehead on the western bank of the Dnieper River and showing courage and heroism, Red Army soldier Lakhtikov Fedor Alekseevich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and a medal The Golden Star [2] .

After the hospital F.A. Lakhtikov returned to his regiment, became the commander of the mortar crew. For the difference in battle during the crossing of the Dniester River, he was awarded the medal "For Courage". I celebrated Victory Day in the capital of Czechoslovakia, Prague . In August 1945, he participated in battles with Japanese militarists in China. In 1946 he was demobilized.

After the war, F.A. Lakhtikov returned to his homeland. Member of the CPSU (b) / CPSU since 1948. Lived and worked in the native village of Yushta . He died on June 21, 1969, was buried in a rural cemetery [2] .

He was awarded the Order of Lenin, medals, including the medal "For Courage" [2] .
