History
The history of the plant begins in 1746 , when industrialist Afanasy Abramovich Goncharov submitted to the Berg-Collegium a petition for the construction of an iron-making plant in the Bryansk district on the Raditsa river. The permit was obtained, and in 1752, A. Goncharov built the Raditsky Iron Works .
In 1838, the plant, together with the workers, was bought by a second-major industrialist A. I. Maltsov . By the second half of the XIX century (the first mention of the achievements of the plant belong to 1862), the company produced portable flour mills , threshing machines , portable horse drives of the Pinet system. By 1870, the plant was redeveloped and began to produce railway cars , locomotives and river steamers , becoming Raditsky Carriage Works . After the October Revolution, the company was nationalized (in 1918), in 1922 it was renamed the Uritsky Carriage Works .
The plant was destroyed during the Great Patriotic War . After the war, it was decided to build a new enterprise in the territory occupied by the plant, whose task would be to produce construction machinery and mechanisms. The company with the new name " Strommashina " was established according to the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 1285 of April 20, 1951. In 1956, the plant began producing equipment for the cement industry and brick factories. Among the manufactured products were kilns for expanded clay , equipment for the reinforced concrete industry, grinding equipment, equipment for the chemical industry .
In 1964, the plant "Strommashina" was again redeveloped. By the Decree of the Supreme Council of National Economy of the USSR No. 28 at its base the Bryansk Plant of Irrigation Machines was established. Soon, the company became one of the main manufacturers of rotary trench excavators , concrete facing machines for building canals, irrigation systems, etc.
As a result of Perestroika and the collapse of the USSR, orders for the company's main products fell, and it underwent a new reorganization. The plant became a closed joint-stock company , was renamed into “ Production Association “ Irmash ”and focused on the production of road and utility equipment [1] [3] .
In May 2016 Irmash became part of NPO GKMP LLC and is currently the only Russian enterprise for the production of tracked and wheeled asphalt pavers, a leading domestic plant producing equipment for patching using jet-injection method, integrated road machines with three sets of replacement equipment (equipment for winter road maintenance, patching equipment and watering equipment) and class 100 all-wheel drive graders.
Products
The main products of PA Irmash are asphalt pavers , in the production of which the company occupies an important place on the Russian market. In addition, the plant produces motor graders , rollers , equipment for the repair of roads, integrated road machines with interchangeable equipment. At the same time, the plant continues to produce (in smaller quantities) rotary and chain trench excavators [1] [2] .
The predecessor of “PO“ Irmash ”, the Bryansk Plant of Irrigation Machines, was one of the main producers of rotary trench excavators in the USSR. The plant produced a line of trench excavators for land improvement tasks and for oil and gas construction. In the 1960s, the company produced ETR-122 two - rotor canal diggers to create irrigation canals, in the 1960s - 1970s, the plant produced ETR-301 and ETR-301A excavators for digging irrigation canals up to 3 meters deep and 13 meters wide ,5 meters; These models were the largest Soviet rotary auger excavators . ETR-204 and ETR-223 models were also produced on the basis of the T-130 tractor [4] [5] .
