The Assets is an American mini-series based on the book A Report on Aldrich Ames and the People He Betrayed, written by former CIA agents Sandra Grimes and Genie Wertfey. In the center of the plot are agents Sandra Grimes and Genie Vertfey, who are looking for a mole in the midst of the Cold War. The series was scheduled for release on the ABC in the season 2013-2014 [1] [2] . The premiere of the limited-edition broadcast series of eight episodes took place on January 2, 2014, as an inexpensive off-season replacement during the pause of the series “ Scandal ” [3] [4] [5] . On January 10, after the release of two episodes, ABC took off the show due to disastrously low ratings [6] .
