Biography
Semyon Larionov was born on April 1, 1915 in the village of Cheremshan (now the Cheremshan district of Tatarstan ). After graduating from junior high school and machine operator courses, he worked as a tractor driver. Since 1934 he lived and worked in the Dzhambul region of the Kazakh SSR . In 1937 - 1939 he served in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . Demobilized, he studied at the railway college. In December 1941, Larionov was re-drafted into the army. Since April 1942 - on the fronts of World War II [1] .
By October 1943, Senior Sergeant Semyon Larionov commanded a platoon of fighter anti-tank batteries of the 237th Infantry Regiment of the 69th Infantry Division of the 65th Army of the Central Front . He distinguished himself during the battle of the Dnieper . On October 16, 1943, Larionov, as part of an assault group, crossed the Dnieper in the vicinity of the village of Radul, Repkinsky district, Chernihiv region of the Ukrainian SSR, and took an active part in the battles for the capture and retention of the bridgehead on its western shore [1] [2] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 30, 1943, for "exemplary performance of command missions on the front of the battle against the German invaders and the courage and heroism shown", Senior Sergeant Semyon Larionov was awarded the high title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal Star ” under number 1650 [1] [2] .
In 1944, Larionov graduated from junior lieutenant courses. In 1946, with the rank of senior lieutenant, he was transferred to the reserve. He returned to the Kazakh SSR. After graduating from a party school under the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR, he was in party and economic positions. He lived in the village of Merke, Merken district, Dzhambul region. He died on December 29, 1984 [1] .
He was also awarded the orders of Alexander Nevsky [3] and World War 2 degree [4] , a number of medals [1] .
