Kalm ( Eng. Culm ) - a river in the county of Devon in South West England .

It originates from the hills of Blackdown Hills , near the village of Kalmhead and flows west through the villages of Hamiok , Kalmstock and Affkalm . Then the river turns south and flows through the city of Callompton along the M5 motorway .
It flows into Ex on the northwestern outskirts of Exeter . Its name, meaning "knot" or "loop" , the river owes its winding channel [1] .
