In the 1760–70s, the Tulomozersky Particular Plant, built near the village of Gilkozha [2] , operated. The owner was the Olonets merchant Ivan Stepanovich Barmin. According to the inventory of I. S. Barmin, compiled in 1779, the plant had: a dam, a blast furnace built in 1777, a hammer factory with three hammers and four horns, an anchor factory with three hammers, a forge for the manufacture of braids and axes, “a cheese-making crusher factory "Tuyere; Also at the plant there were sawmills and flour mills. Production stopped due to a lack of capital and complications with civilian labor in the conditions of rapid development of the forest industry in the region.
