Geographical position
The village council is located in the central part of the district. The boundary of the village council begins at the intersection of the Erika Doshenik with the Kostyl River, goes along its middle to the southeast to the Bolshaya Chernaya River and the Tabola River. Further, the border runs along the middle of the Tabola River in a southeast direction along the irrigation canal to the village of Obukhov, in the middle to the village of Transverse, in the middle to the village of Doshenik, and in the middle of the village of Doshenik to the starting point.
The village council borders on the west and north on the Verkhnekalinovsky village council , on the east - on the Razdorsky village council , on the south - on the Karalat village council . The village of Chapaevo is located at a distance of 25 km in the south relative to the district center of Kamyzyak [2] .
History
At first, the village of Chapaevo was called "Polyansky", since 1931 - "14 years of October", since 1940 - "Chapaevo" [5] .
By the Law of the Astrakhan Region dated June 3, 2015 No. 31/2015 OZ [6] , the municipalities “Karalatsky Village Council” and “Chapaevsky Village Council” were transformed, by combining them, into the municipal formation “ Karalatsky Village Council ” with an administrative center in the village of Karalat .

In the 1950s, the population of the village was 4.5 thousand people, of which two thousand worked at the fish factory [5] .

The structure of the rural settlement included one settlement.
Farm
Fish farming is the leading branch of the economy; a fish factory, founded in 1918, is operating in the village. February 16, 1963 he became part of the fish factory to them. S. G. Kirov as a separate workshop. Since 1999 it is again a separate company.
Among the institutions of the social sphere in the village council there are a feldsher-midwife station, a kindergarten and a secondary school (built in 1989 ), a culture house with 100 seats, and a village library.
Transport in the village council is represented by the Kamyzyak - Karalat highway and navigable rivers.
