Geographical position

The Village Council is located in the southern part of the region, on the shores of the Caspian Sea . The territory of the village council borders on the territories of: Jean-Aul, Uvarinsky, Lebyazhinsky, Obraztsovo-Travinsky and Karalatsky village councils, and from the southern side it goes around the territory of the Kirovsky Village community and goes into the Caspian Sea. From all sides, the territory is washed by rivers and small rivers (Volga delta channels - Zaton, Nikitinsky Bank, Kulaginsky Bank, Ryty Bank, Baklanya, Bolshaya and Malaya Baklanya, Nikolaevskaya and others) and, as it were, an island. Inside the island there are many rivers that penetrate the territory of the Karaulinsky Village Council, up and down. On the territory there are three motor transport and one pedestrian bridges [3] .

The boundary of the village council starts from the confluence of the Artelnaya and Malaya Baklania rivers, goes along the middle of the Malaya Baklania river to the Beluzhia river, in its middle to the nameless Eric , which flows into the Eric Stallion, in its middle to the Morik. Then the border goes in the middle of the Moryyany River to the Nikolaevskaya River, crossing it, and goes to the Kirovsky fish passage channel, through which it goes to the confluence with the Bardyninsky fish passage channel, along it to the west to the Nikitinsky fish passage channel, including Malyi Zhemchuzhny island, turns north to the Eric Korneevsky, goes in its middle to the Nikitinsky Bank River. Then the border goes along the middle of the Nikitinsky Bank river for 6 km, then eastward for a kilometer to Eric Dulinsky, in the middle to Eric Ryty Bank, from there to Eric Uvaryshka, in its middle to the Bolshaya Obukhovskaya river, then the border goes in the middle Bolshaya Obukhovskaya River to the Nikitinsky Bank River, then along its middle to the initial point [3] .

Farm

The leading branch of the economy is agriculture , represented by 2 peasant farms and 1 agricultural enterprise. In the structure of the land, the largest area is occupied by hayfields (45.1%), pastures (36.6%) and arable land (18.3%). Livestock - breeding cattle, pigs, sheep, goats, horses and birds, the main products are meat , milk and eggs. Crop production - the cultivation of cereals, vegetables, potatoes and melons. Developed fishing.

Among social institutions in the center of the village council there are 4 feldsher-obstetric centers (Karaulnoye, Zaton, Stanya, Obukhovsky), 2 secondary schools (Karaulinskaya for 220 places, Zatonskaya for 125 places), 2 elementary schools (Obukhovsky and Stanja for 15 places each) , 2 gardens (Karaulinsky for 100 places, Zatonsky for 40 places), 2 rural and 2 school libraries, no cultural institutions. There are 5 stores, 2 gas stations.

Transport in the village council is represented by the Astrakhan - Kamyzyak - Kirov highway and navigable rivers.
