Biography
Born in with. Vyachka Kirsanovsky district (now - Tambov region ) in a peasant family. In 1955 he graduated from the Moscow Veterinary Academy . He worked at the farm "Chkalovsky" Dzerzhinsky district of the Kaluga region.
- in 1970-1976 the first secretary of the Maloyaroslavets RK of the CPSU
- in 1976-1979 deputy chairman of the Kaluga regional executive committee
- from January 15, 1979 to March 30, 1989, the chairman of the Kaluga Oblast Executive Committee.
Member of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR (1980, 1985), delegate of the 26th Congress of the CPSU (1981).
