Story
Prologue
The game begins with a video that tells what happened in the first part. Rufus himself tells about this, who exaggerates his merits. After it turns out that Rufus told all this to Goal, who again lost her memory. In this case, all this happens in the capsule, necessary in order to send Goal and Clitus to Elysium. Then Goal asks the hero how he got here, and Rufus decided to tell to the end.
Here the gameplay begins. Doc leads Rufus to visit his acquaintance - granny Ots. Rufus asks where to get the tool, and Doc replies that he is in the tool box, having found the necessary thing, he does a lot of harm to the environment and kills the granny Uz bird. Doc realized what he was up to and followed him. It turned out that the latter had conceived a new insane plan in order to get to Elysium. After the plan was a success, the saw, on which Rufus flew, crashed into a transport capsule. The action returns to the capsule. Clitus woke up and in order to get rid of him, Rufus presses the button unknown to him, which throws Goal out of the capsule. Rufus is trying to help her, but Clytus shoots a pistol and the rope on which Rufus and Goal were holding is torn. They fall next to the tug Bozo.
Chapter 1
A feature of control in the Floating Black Market is the ability to quickly move between locations using maps installed in 5 locations. Rufus regains consciousness in the Bozo boat and heads for Doc's workshop, where he finds Goal. Her implant is badly damaged and she needs surgery. Doc asks Rufus to go to an appliance store and buy GOOD cartridges. Rufus goes to the store, getting acquainted with the revolutionaries of the Resistance and the Mafiosi, who call themselves Unorganized Crime (led by a certain Donna). In the store, Rufus is faced with a choice to buy good quality cartridges or cheap ones, to which candy comes as a gift. Rufus returns to Doc sucking on a lollipop. Due to defective cartridges, Goal's consciousness is divided into 3 parts: Baby Goal is naive and cheerful, Lady Goal is a girl of high society, and Goal Goal is temperamental and fighting. Goal goes to the tavern. Doc says that the operation will require the agreement of all three Goal entities. He gives Rufus a control panel with which he can switch her personalities. Rufus is required to seduce 3 personalities of Goal, and each one wants something special. Lady Goal - a romantic dinner, Zadire Goal the right words, and Baby Goal wants to join the resistance. In preparation for the dinner, Rufus meets with his father Seagal, who, he thought, went to Elysium. In fact, his father escaped from the Kuwak and became the owner of a restaurant here on the Black Floating Market. The father agrees to help Rufus organize a romantic dinner, but when everything is ready, he himself went on a date with Lady Goal. At the same time, he tells Rufus the awful truth - Seagal was not his father, since Rufus was found among the garbage as a child. However, Rufus destroys all his plans, after which Lady Goal goes to Rufus. Bozo decides to help Rufus with Zadira Goal, because his girlfriend, Bambina, who owns a gun shop on the floating black market, is a very temperamental girl, and he knows the approach to them. Rufus helps Bozo to make peace with Bambina, during a conversation with which he speaks those very necessary words. Rufus sends them to Goal, and after a small battle of the platypus, she consents to the operation. In order to impress Baby Goal, Rufus met with the Resistance and their leader Janos. At the headquarters of Unorganized Crime, he contacts Clytus, posing as a member of Unorganized Crime, and Clytus tells him of the plans of the Organonists. They set up explosive towers all over the planet. After that, Rufus has to “fight” with Donna, who turns out to be just a crazy girl, using weaknesses, and join Unorganized Crime. Rufus joins the Resistance, after which he informs them about the plans of the organonists, and also lays out his plan to fight them, after which he is made head of the Resistance. Now Baby Goal is crazy about him and also agrees to the operation. She goes to Doc's workshop, but again unforeseen problems arise: members of the Unorganized Crime led by Donna seize Doc's workshop in order to gain access to the access codes on the Goal cartridge. In the process of releasing the hostages, Rufus finds out that Donna also has a brain implant. He "relocates" the mind of Lady Goal to Donna, after which she kills her assistants, sends him the Foel cartridge Goal and offers to deal with the Resistance (one of the fighters also has an implant). Using a time machine and clock with a cuckoo, Rufus neutralizes the Resistance fighters. When he comes back, it turns out that Lady Goal betrayed him: the Badass cartridge transferred to her turns out to be a dummy, she threw all bound, locked them in the laboratory, and she floats away on Donna’s submarine. Rufus remains with two cartridges - Baby Goal and Bully Goal. Before sailing, you can find out the reasons for the act.
Chapter 2
In this act, with the help of a boat, you can freely move between the islands of Port Fisco, Wharrudyam, Floating Black Market and the North Pole. Organonts under the leader of Argus, meanwhile, are blocking the Black Market. It turns out that they were led by Seagal, who tried to betray Goal. When not found, Argus, in a frenzy, shoots Seagal, who falls from a jetty into the sea. Rufus, Doc, Goal and Bozo by boat arrive on the island of Porta Fisco, where the Resistance is temporarily based. Their goal now is to track down the submarine on which Lady Goal floated. There, Rufus meets his ex-girlfriend Tony, who joined the resistance and trains torpedo dolphins. Also in Porta Fisko, he meets the Goon-Homeless and the Prophet, advising married couples. Subsequently, Rufus makes Guna eat shoes and breaks his life, sends dolphins to cat food and makes Goal work as a lightning rod, but at the same time installs a transmitter on the antenna that helps detect Lady Goal in Donna’s body, and equips dolphins with torpedoes (which Janos sold, to buy pizza). With the help of torpedo dolphins, they hit a submarine and Rufus is trying to get inside.
Chapter 3
Goal reunites with Clytus, taking all the cartridges, and the ship Bozo crashes. Rufus, with the help of defective teleports and Resistance, which had already begun the attack, hits the tower, and finds out that Clytus was not going to blow up Depony: he reprogrammed the bomb so that only the tower would explode. As a result, Goal again rejects Rufus, and he falls from the tower. Falling from the tower, he calls for resistance to flee from it, but then Goal appears, deciding to stay.
Characters
- Rufus is the main character. Narcissistic, selfish and sloppy inventor from the planet Deponiya. It seeks to get to Elysium and at the same time prevent the destruction of Deponium.
- Goal is an Elysian, an inspector sent to Depony to establish the existence of life. A young girl, whose mind and personality is recorded on a cartridge, Rufus's beloved.
- Doc is an elderly engineer who helps Rufus in saving the Deposit and restoring Goal’s identity. A bit grumbling and pessimistic.
- Bozo - the owner of the boat, for some reason, constantly taken by Rufus as a pirate. Calm, discreet and a little phlegmatic. In love with Bambina, the owner of an arms shop.
- Clitus is the bridegroom of Goal, an Elysian inspector sent to Depony to check for life on her. For unknown reasons, similar to Rufus, both in appearance and character.
- Bailiff Argus - Organon officer. Originally sent to Deponia to accompany the mission of Clitus and Goal.
Resistance
- Janos is the leader of the resistance before the arrival of Rufus. Very lisping than amuse Rufus. Not too smart, but selfless and dedicated. This detail is not commented on by the game, but he says the name Rufus as “Rufosh” or “Rufush”.
- Garlef is a member of the resistance champion of the stone-paper-scissors tournament.

He made a deal with organontsami, agreeing to surrender Rufus and Goal to them, however, he was shot by Argus for not fulfilling the agreement.
- Gulliver - the bartender in the tavern. Dislikes resistance, trying to maintain order in the tavern.
- Bambina is an aggressive and unbalanced owner of an arms shop, beloved Bozo.
- Alex is a musical gnome sitting in a jukebox. Pretty quick-tempered and rude.
- The fisherman is a man with fishing patience and fishing luck.
- The gondolier is suspiciously similar to Jan Muller-Michaelis's alter ego - Pokey, singing songs between chapters. Eaten by crabs.

- Poet Crane is a beggar poet living in the basement under the Segal mansion.
- Grablidzho the Gardener - the aged gardener Segal.
- Torg-o-Mat 8000 - the seller in the gift shop. Rogue.
- Gilligan - the seller in the gift shop. Enclosed in his robot.
