History
Kadaka Street got its name from the village of the same name, located at the place of its passage until the middle of the 20th century . Administratively, the village was divided into two parts: the village of Haabersti-Kadaka located in Tallinn and the village of Harku-Kadaka belonging to Harku Manor . Kadaka Street ran through the entire village and led into the city, connecting with the Paldiski Highway . Mustamäe tee street, also connecting the village with the city, ended at the modern intersection of Mustamäe tee and Kadaka tee. In 1976, the section of street between the intersections with the Padli Highway and Mustamäe tee was renamed, becoming a continuation of Mustamäe tee [1] [2] .
Description
The street begins with a branch from Mustamäe tee , it goes almost straight line (about 650 meters long) to the corner with Laki street , turns sharply to the southeast and goes almost straight line (a little more than a kilometer long) to the intersection with Ehitayate tee and Tammsaare tee streets, from there, a slightly curving segment (about 900 meters long) continues to the junction with the Akadeemiya tee and then continues to a dead end in the Astangu microdistrict. At a distance of about 650 meters from the intersection with the Akadeemiya tee from the street, branches to the south of Kadaka Boulevard . The length of the street is about 4.1 km [1] .
The street is almost devoid of residential development, however, a significant number of enterprises, as well as bases and warehouses, were located on it. During the time of the Estonian SSR, the Leibur bakery , the workshop of the soft drinks factory, the Clementi sewing factory (named after Wilhelmina Clementi ), a jewelry factory, and a bus depot were located on the street. Some of them continue to work, and new enterprises have appeared [1] .

A number of public transport lines pass along the street, including bus routes No. 9, 16, 16, 20, 20A, 25, 24, 26, 26A, 33 [3] .
