Cornflower Dubyansky ( lat. Centauréa dubjanskýi ) - plant , relict species of the Cornflower family of the Astrovye family, or Compositae . Included in the International Red Book of IUCN as a genus in a vulnerable position [2] . Included in the Red Book of Russia .

Habitat and habitatThe endemic of the Middle Don, which is endangered. It grows only in Russia , in the Rostov and Voronezh regions , off the coast of the Don and Khopra [3] . It grows on the untouched areas of the sandy steppe. Last observed in the Khopersky Reserve in 1947 .
Botanical descriptionBiennial herb. Height from 35 to 50 cm.
Stems single or few, upright, surface smooth.
The lower stem leaves are petiolate, the upper leaves are whole.
Baskets at the ends of the branches are single. The flowers are yellow.
Fruit - achene with tuft .
GuardIt is included in the International Red Book and the Red Book of Russia , as well as in the Red Books of Rostov and Voronezh regions [4] .
