Record History
Marie Fredriksson wrote one song for this album - “Sista sommarens vals” (“Waltz of the Last Summer”). Another song for this solo album was written by her Roxette colleague Per Gessle , “Känn dig som hemma” (“Make yourself at home”). The rest of the songs for the album were written by Marie's spouse, Mike Boyosh, as well as by third-party authors. The album “Nu!” Was produced by Mike Boyios and Christopher Lundqvist , guitarist and producer of Roxette.
The first two songs of the album were recorded and mixed already in 2010 . The album was scheduled for release in late 2010 - early 2011, but due to the Roxette tour, the release was delayed. [one]
Christopher Lundqvist was initially invited as a consultant for recording several songs, but over time he became more and more involved in the recording process and the information that Mike Boiosh suggested he produce the album together. Thus, the record was recorded at the Lundqvist studio “ Aerosol Gray Machine Studios ” in Skån (southern Sweden) and at the Atlantis studio in Stockholm .
When pre-ordering the album in the online stores “Ginza”, “Bengans” and “CDON”, the album was sent along with a card signed by Marie personally. This promotion was sponsored by the record company Parlophone / Warner Music.
On November 22, 2013, two days after the release of the record, Marie and Mike performed live on the Skavlan television show on the SVT channel. The couple performed a song that Marie herself wrote for the album - “ Sista sommarens vals ”.
