The championship was held from April 13 to October 20, 2013 [2] . The champion title was defended by the Tureso football club, which won its first championship in history in the previous season [3] . The Malmo football club became the champion of the country for the eighth time [4] .

At the end of the 2012 season, the clubs “ Yurgorden ” and AIK left Damallsvenskan, taking the last two places in the league. The “ Sunnano ” and “ Mallbacken ” teams , on the contrary, left the second most important division of Elitettan , taking first and second places respectively [5] [6] [7] .
