History

18th century

The village of Krasnoselovka arose in the XVIII century (according to some reports in 1753 ).

It was founded by immigrants from the settlement of Old Melova, immigrants from Ukraine, as well as landowners who received land by royal decree, who resettled their serfs on the land gifted by the king. Due to its location in a beautiful place, the village was called Krasnoselovka - that is, a beautiful village. Since not only Russians, but also Ukrainians were among the founders of the village, the communication language in the village was Russian-Ukrainian mixture (in local it is called Khokhlyachy language).

In 1789, the St. George Church was built here. Under it were 99 acres of well-groomed arable land. There were 1,500 parishioners. In 1865, in a settlement in 534 houses lived 2,720 souls .

XIX century

In 1868, a school opened in the village, it was called the second volost school (the first was in Petropavlovka). 53 students were trained in it (6 benches).

The population of the village was changing. Residents engaged in agriculture, and due to crop failure temporarily left their homes. So in 1886, 4019 people lived in 650 houses in Krasnosyolovka, and in 1893 there were 5910 people in 675 houses . The school has already attended 100 students.

Several shops were trading in the village, fairs were held, there was a water mill, 2 oil mills.

XX century

In 1906, 4440 people lived in the village in 789 houses. Soviet power was established in the spring of 1918 . The first chairman of the village council was M. Oleinikov. During the Civil War, the new government was defended by 65 villagers. They fought with the White Cossacks as part of the 40th Bogucharsky division.

After the revolution, a partnership for joint land cultivation (TOZ) appeared in the village. It included 14 households. For TOZ, 200 hectares of land were allocated. The artel was called "The New Way." TOZ lasted until the organization of collective farms. In December 1929, on the territory of the village of Krasnosyolovka, the Lenin Way collective farm was organized, which was headed by a twenty-five thousandth worker Paramonov. In 1930, the collective farm was disaggregated and 5 farms appeared: The Way to Socialism, The Way of Lenin, The 20th Anniversary of the October Revolution, The Name of Krupskaya, and The Bolshevik.

In the early 1950s, collective farms enlarged again, and two farms “Name of Lenin” and “Name of Kalinin” remain in the village. Since 1953, there remains already one collective farm named after Lenin, which in 1959 was called Krasnosyolovsky. This farm was one of the best in the area.

A special sad line in the history of the village Krasnosyolovka inscribed the years of World War II . In 1941-1945, 734 people went to the front from Krasnoselovka . Of these, 442 people survived, and 289 Krasnoselovites laid their heads in battles to defend our homeland. 176 women in the village remained widows.

In the village of Krasnosyolovka near the school there is a mass grave No. 238 of soldiers who died during the Second World War (wounded, dead soldiers of the sixth army, led by General Kharitonov). In 1985, the villagers, with the help of the Krasnosyolovsky collective farm, the center of the village on Victory Square, erected a monument in memory of the fallen soldiers-villagers who died on the fronts of World War II.

Many people were born and raised in Krasnoselovka who gained fame not only in their native village, but also far beyond its borders. This is Hero of Socialist Labor Shevtsov Ivan Semenovich, Honored Builder of Leningrad. These are residents of the village of Kavalery of the Order of Lenin, Ukrainian milkmaid Evdokia Grigoryevna, and participant in the development of virgin lands Bortnikova Agafya Sidorovna, and school teacher Petrova Klavdiya Alekseevna, and many order-bearers from among livestock breeders and machine operators. There are 33 order bearers in the village.

One of the streets of the village bears the name of our fellow countryman, Lieutenant Viktor Ostroverkhov, who died during the 105th sortie in the Republic of Afghanistan , who was posthumously awarded the Order of the Red Banner of War. Gryakalov A.A. was born in Krasnosyolovka - academician, head of the Department of History and Philosophy of the State University named after A.I. Herzen, he is also a member of the Union of Writers of Russia.
