History
Used for the procession during the funeral of King Gustav Vasa in 1560. In the oldest known image of 1562 on the coat of arms of the Landskapa, the lion is supplemented with four stars. Subsequently, the number of stars was reduced to two.
The modern coat of arms was approved in 1885.
Description (blazon)
In the black and gold fields slanted to the left, the lion is in reverse colors with black weapons, in the black field in the upper left and lower right are the six-pointed silver star.
