Geography

The rural settlement was located in the southern part of the Neftekumsky district , where it was bordered by the Kursk region . The distance from the administrative center of the municipality to the district center is 68 km. The total area of ​​the territory is 65.8 km² [4] .

History

From May 1, 2017, in accordance with the Law of the Stavropol Territory dated April 29, 2016 No. 47-KZ [2] , all municipalities of the Neftekumsky municipal district (urban settlements of Neftekumsk , the village of Zhererechny , rural settlements of the village of Achikulak , Zakumsky Village Council , Winter- Settlement Village Council , Zunkar village council , Kara-Tyubinsk village council , Kayasulinsky village council , Mahmud-Mektebsky village council , Novkus-Artesian village council , Ozek-Suat village council and Tukuy-Mektebsky village council ) were transformed, through their unification, into Neftekumsky th city district.
