Murezia

Muretsia , also Muretia ( lat. Muretia ) is a genus of perennial herbaceous plants from the umbelliferous family. The genus was first described by Pierre Edmond Boissier in 1844 .

Biological Description

Plants have a pineal, tuberous root and pinnately dissected leaves with narrow linear or filamentous lobes. Calyx has no teeth; painted in yellow. The fruits have a characteristic cylindrical shape with filiform ribs [2] .

Views

Previously, the genus united 8 species common in Southeastern Europe and Western Asia (including 5 species in the territory of the former USSR , 4 of them in the Central Asian republics) [2] . Now many species previously included in this genus are reclassified.

  • Muretia lutea ( M. Bieb. Ex Hoffm. ) Boiss. - Muretsia yellow = Elaeosticta lutea ( M. Bieb. Ex Hoffm. ) Kljuykov , Pimenov & VNTikhom. It occurs in the southern regions of the European part of the CIS , in the Ciscaucasia and in the south of Western Siberia; poisonous to livestock [2] .
  • Muretia oeroilanica Korovin
  • Muretia tanaicensis Boiss.
  • Muretia transcaspica korovin
  • Muretia transitoria Korovin = Elaeosticta transitoria ( Korovin ) Kljuykov , Pimenov & VNTikhom.
