Career

In childhood, was engaged in swimming, but at the age of 10, at the invitation of a friend, he transferred to hockey. He played for the Chkalov Sports Club (SKiCh), at the age of 12 he was noticed and invited to the Tractor at the Golden Puck tournament in Chelyabinsk . At the age of 17, along with several players, Mechel and Tractor received an offer to play in Canada . For several years he played for the Swift-Carrent Broncos and the North Bay Centennials . In 2001, the NHL Draft was selected by the St. Louis Blues Club. In 2005 he returned to Russia , playing for Sibir in the Super League [1] .
