Shoko-kari ( Karirí, Karirí-Xocó, Kariri Xucó, Kipeá, Xocó, Xokó, Xokó-Karirí, Xukurú, Xukuru Kariri ) is a dead and poorly studied language of Brazil. It is known by many varieties: shoko (choko) in the state of Sergipe , kari-choko (kari-choko) in the state of Alagoas , and shukuru-kari in the state of Alagoas . It is not yet clear whether this was one language or these are three languages. In 1961, he was only known for a dozen words from one elder kariri-shoko and from several elders shukuru-kariri. The language has dialects of kamura (choko), kariri-shoko (kariri-choko), sabuja (pedra-blank). At present, the people speak Portuguese.
