Biography
He graduated from the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University in 1939 (he studied in the same group as Y. M. Kolotyrkin and M. I. Temkin ) [1] . Since 1941 - at the front, he served in tank troops, was demobilized after a serious wound [2] . His older brother, an officer of the Black Sea Fleet, Isaac of Warsaw, died in 1943 near Sevastopol .
After the war, he took part in the atomic bomb project . In the 1950s, he was engaged in biochemistry, worked as a researcher at the NIFKhI im. L. Ya. Karpova . He was a senior researcher, professor and head of the laboratory at the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR [3] [4] . Due to the son’s non-return from a scientific mission to Finland, in 1977 he was expelled from the CPSU (subsequently restored).
Scientific works on the use of mass spectroscopy in studying the structure of amino acids and proteins [5] [6] . He translated a number of chemistry monographs from English .
Since 1991 - in Salt Lake City .
