Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM) is a rare polysystemic disease characterized by progressive cystic destruction of the lung tissue, damage to the lymphatic system, and the appearance of tumor-like formations (angiomyolip) of the abdominal organs . The disease affects mainly women of reproductive age and manifests itself as spontaneous pneumothorax , progressive shortness of breath during physical exertion, chylothorax and rare episodes of hemoptysis . Lymphangioleiomyomatosis can develop for no apparent reason or as part of an inherited disease - tuberous sclerosis [2] [3] .
