Cocoa bears are distinguished from other New World monkeys by a shortened tail, whose length is only 15-18 cm with a body length of 40-45 cm. The coat is long, sparse, absent on the head. These monkeys have very little subcutaneous fat, so the muzzle seems to be covered in skin. Like the rest of the sakova, the lower incisors protrude forward. In nature, up to 100 individuals were observed both in small groups and in large communities. When moving through the forest, usually the lower branches of the trees are used; when feeding, they rise to the upper branches. In the diet, fruits, nuts, plant sprouts.
