Football career

The main part of the football player’s career is connected with “ Nistru ” from Chisinau , in which he played over 300 matches, and played 13 seasons for the club, two of them in 1974 and 1983 in the USSR Major League . He also played for other teams from the Moldavian USSR - the Team of the city of Tiraspol (SKA Odessa) , Zarya Balti and Tekstilshchik Tiraspol . In 1979, he was a participant in the VII Summer Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR as part of the football team of the Moldavian SSR.

Coach Career

Having completed his career as a football player in the Zarya club Balti , he entered the coaching staff of the team. In 1990-1991 he studied at the Moscow school of trainers. In the 1990s and 2000s he worked with Moldavian clubs - “Speranza” Nisporeni , “Codru” Kalaras , “Tiligul” Tiraspol , “Constructorul” Tiraspol , “Nistru” Otaci . Twice the teams that Matsyura coached won the Moldavian Cup - Tiligul (1995) and Constructorul (1996). The Constructorul headed by him became the champion of Moldova in the 1996/97 season . In 2004, being the head coach of Nistru Otaci, he was recognized as the coach of the year in Moldova .

He headed the main and youth teams of Moldova. From 2006 to 2013 he was a trainer and breeder at the coaching staff of Kazan Rubin . In December 2014, with the appointment of Kurban Berdyev to the post of head coach, he entered the coaching staff of the Rostov football club , where he worked until the end of the 2016/17 season. In the summer of 2017, together with Berdyev, he returned to Kazan Rubin.

Family

  • Brother Sergey Grigoryevich Matsyura, a Soviet and Moldavian footballer, as well as a Russian football referee, served the matches of the Russian Premier League in 2007-2008.
