Biography

From the hereditary nobles of the Kursk province.

He graduated from a course of sciences in a noble guesthouse at Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum with a gold medal. July 2, 1829 appointed to serve in the police department with approval in the rank of 10th grade .

On February 23, 1833 he was transferred to the department of military settlements as an assistant to the chief of the 2nd branch of the economic unit. May 1, 1834 dismissed from this position. June 14, 1834 identified in the military field camp of His Imperial Majesty Chancellery.

March 7, 1835 received the rank of college assessor . From April 1 to August 10, 1839 he was with the Minister of War during his review of the Transcaucasian Territory . On November 18, 1842, he was appointed as an official of a special assignment of the VI class under the Minister of War, leaving the producer of affairs as a military camp office.

April 11, 1843 received the rank of state councilor . On October 16 of the same year, he was appointed governor of a committee established to find funds to reduce the census of the military department. April 21, 1847 promoted to full state councilors .

On October 29, 1849, he was appointed chairman of the provisional provisions commission in Rybinsk and Kazan at the time of bidding for the provision of provisions. On November 18, 1848, he was appointed Assistant Secretary of State to the Chairperson of the Council of State , with resignation.

From May 18 to June 16, 1852 he managed the office of the Ministry of War. On January 1, 1853, he was transferred as the managing director of the Committee of Ministers and appointed Secretary of State E.I.V .; May 17, 1855 promoted to Privy Councilor.

He was buried at the Volkovsky Orthodox cemetery in St. Petersburg [1] .

His son Mikhail (1857-1938) - chairman of the Kiev provincial zemstvo council, chamberlain.
